Originally from Guinea and currently residing in Brooklyn, Aissata Barry is a 19-year-old woman driven by intellectual curiosity and boundless ambition. Currently a senior at BASE High School, she is diligently preparing to enter college.  Building on her initial experience in journalism last year, she has chosen to pursue general biology for her higher education. This academic choice is the first step in a life project that is very important to her: becoming a doctor. Her intelligence, thirst for knowledge, and desire to help others are the driving forces behind this professional dream. Highly involved in her school community, Aissata actively participates in various clubs that reflect her dynamic personality. She expresses her love for gastronomy in the Cooking Club and cultivates her passion for exploration with the Outdoor Adventure Club. In the past, she also enriched her experience by participating in the Brooklyn Botanic Garden (BBG) program. She loves preparing and enjoying traditional African dishes. She finds solace and inspiration in contemplating natural landscapes, particularly during moments of solitude. She dedicates her free time to reading, seeking to acquire new knowledge and broaden her horizons. Aissata has cultivated a critical mind and a strong analytical ability. Between spending time with friends and her constant pursuit of knowledge, she embodies a determined young woman ready to transform her dreams into reality.
