Whitney Witthaus Lewis, AKA Mrs. Witt is a passionate social studies and journalism educator who has been teaching in the city for 6 years. An alumna of UC Berkeley, she studied environmental politics and social movements, and graduated with honors. She has her Masters in Social Studies Education from Lehman College, and has won multiple awards for environmental education, project based learning, and is in the founding cohort of Journalism for All. When she is not at school you can find her leading Green Team in the Brooklyn Botanic Garden, biking or kayaking in Prospect Park, cooking elaborate meals, or organizing for climate justice and a better world.
